If so, and you want to do postgraduate studies at the master or doctorate level in the field of conservation, there is no doubt that you are the best candidate for winning the  Russell E. The Russell E. Train Fellowships are for financing candidates doing a master’s or doctoral degree in conservation field. Every year, World Wildlife Fund provides funding to committed conservationists from specific countries so that individuals receive financial support for pursuing their studies as well as for doing field research works. Candidates can submit applications in order to attend any university around the world. It is important to note that such candidates must come back to their home countries for working in conservation for a period of at least 2 years after finishing their degree.

Currently, two fellowships as provided below are receiving applications and eligibility criteria depend on the fellowship category.

Role of Gender Equity in Achieving Sustainable Blue Economy Outcomes 

For building the capacity across the Indian, Atlantic, and Pacific Ocean, EFN is calling for applications submission from aspiring and current leaders in conservation field for enabling them to do graduate studies (master and doctorate) in order to bridge the gap in the countries’ capacity for delivering the goals of the development of the Blue Economy.

The fellowship is for supporting individuals in order to develop interdisciplinary, innovative and evidence-based research on the importance of gender equity to achieve the outcomes of the sustainable Blue Economy, with a focus on tropical and small-scale fisheries ecosystems.

Eligible candidates are those from the following countries: 

Belize, Ecuador, Fiji, Gabon, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Solomon Islands, Suriname, and Vietnam .

Current and Aspiring University Faculty for Conservation 

 
EFN is offering fellowships for financing aspiring and current university faculty, which are affiliated with or currently employed at Asian, Latin American and African universities for doing doctoral studies in conservation-related areas. After graduation, the candidates are expected to contribute in enhancing, expanding, or establishing a graduate-level conservation programme at a university in their home country.
