For someone with a dream of doing university studies at the master level in Europe, especially in Belgium. There is a scholarship program known as the Master Mind Scholarships awarded by the Flemish Ministry of Education and Training to qualified students from around the world in order to pursue their master’s studies in Flanders and Brussels.

The period of mobility is 1 academic year for a master’s program of 60 ECTS and 2 academic years for a master’s program of 120 ECTS.

A scholarship of €8 400 (maximum) for an academic year is offered to the incoming student by following the details of the Payment of the scholarship.

If a student finishes a 1 year Master program, but does not receive the Master degree at the completion of the academic year in 2023 (July or September) the final installment of €1 400 will not be offered.

For the case of a 2 years Master Program at least 54 ECTS have to be achieved in the 1st academic year in 2023 (July or September) for being able to get the final installment of €1 400 of the 1st year and for being entitled to the scholarship for the 2nd academic year. The host institution can ask the candidate for a tuition fee equivalent to the minimum rate of the annual tuition fee for a student receiving a study grant from the Flemish government. The academic year 2022-2023 rate equal to €115,80 , and this may augment slightly from year to year.

In case a student loses his/her scholarship, he/she will pay the full tuition fee for continuing the program without the scholarship.

The scholarship covers a grant of €8 400 plus a tuition fee for an academic year (60 ECTS). The grant payment is made in instalments for covering insurances, a significant amount of living expenses, and accommodation fees. 

It is important to note that the administrative enrolment fee needs to be paid by the Master Mind Scholarship holders.
