Education Level: Undergraduate

For the university students or recent graduates (6 months maximum) who want to contribute to the move towards Zero Hunger. There are internships offered by the World Food Programme (WFP). These are paid internships as mentioned in this article.

The WFP is always looking for students from various countries who are motivated, enthusiastic and talented. Doing an internship at the World Food Programme is a good opportunity for acquiring practical work experience at the same time making a contribution to the goal of achieving Zero Hunger.

It is important to note that when you are selected for doing the internship with the World Food Programme, please be ready for providing your recent university record (course transcripts and a proof of enrolment or degree).

Benefits

The World Food Programme internships generally takes between 2 and 8 months. During such internship, WFP supports your internship with a stipend connected to the particular duty station, with the amount equal to US$1000/month (maximum).

Please note that prior to the commencement of the internship with the World Food Programme, the candidate will need to provide a medical insurance proof.

The candidate will be responsible for organization as well as the payment for his/her accommodation and travel expenses, but  the World Food Programme will reimburse travel tickets for those who are citizens of developing countries and are doing their studies in their home country. It is the responsibility of the candidate to organize a visa for his/her internship and for paying for related expenses. The World Food Programme can provide a support to you with the documents required.

Who Should Apply?

Eligible candidates are those:

❶who are currently registered in a recognized university or those who graduated in the last 6 months.

❷who finished at least two years of undergraduate studies.

❸who are open to new challenges, team player and motivated.

❹having the working knowledge of English (other UN languages are an advantage).

❺with an interest in learning as well as in taking a 1^st step in the humanitarian sector.
