African Good Practice Competition on Youth Skills Development and Employment

For an organization excelling in driving good practices on the development of youth skills and the promotion of employment in Africa. The good news is that there is a competition program known as African Good Practice Competition on Youth Skills Development and Employment which can allow applicants to benefit a lot from their participation in this competition program.

This year, the African Union Commission and the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) is calling qualified candidates to apply for this exciting competition for finding, celebrating, and growing the number of good practices across all countries of the African continent.

ASPYEE (the African Skills Portal for Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship) is a continental knowledge platform which hosts a wealth of good practices on TVET (Technical, Vocational Education and Training), approaches and methodologies for skills development, and interventions for youth employment and entrepreneurship.

The aim of this competition is to increase good practices from all regions, by focusing on regions which are currently under-represented on ASPYEE. These include conflict-ridden countries, Northern, Central and West Africa.

Benefits

Regarding what candidates will benefit from the African Good Practice Competition on Youth Skills Development and Employment. During this competition program, 5 organizations, one from each African region, will win:

❷ Free profiling and marketing which include:

▶ Invitations for speaking at high-level events

▶ Being featured on the ASPYEE platform and social media channels of AU and AUDA-NEPAD

The other thing is that even organizations which have not been chosen as winners will still be offered an opportunity for sharing their good practice on ASPYEE provided that they meet the judging criteria listed here.

The opening date to apply for the African Good Practice Competition on Youth Skills Development and Employment is on July 18, 2022 while the deadline to submit applications is on August 12th, 2022, 23:59 (GMT+3). Please note that early submissions of applications are encouraged.
